COVID-19 special hosting


Mar Palace Copacabana Hotel has expertise in hosting and offering spaces for corporate events during the COVID-19 pandemic period. We have a contingency plan to ensure your safety, protection and comfort.
We are one of the pioneer hotels in Brazil offering this service, which has been available since March 17, 2020. We follow the protocols related to the "ten commandments", defined by the state government of Rio de Janeiro and also to the "golden rules" of the city hall.


Hygiene and safety procedures adopted by the hotel.



Apartment and common areas

  • Alcohol gel available in all common areas of the hotel;
  • The tidying and cleaning of the rooms follow to hygiene and safety procedures;
  • Check-in is done in an apartment cleaned 24 hours in advance;
  • The hotel's roof is accessible for sunbathing - with restricted crowds;
  • The fitness center, sauna and swimming pool are in operation, but it is necessary to schedule an appointment.



Team

  • Checking the body temperature of our employees daily before the start of activities and at each shift change;
  • Our teams are organized in weekly shifts, residing in the hotel to reduce commuting;
  • They were trained and guided according to the rules of the Rio de Janeiro Health Department.





Food and drinks

  • Continental Breakfast - available in individual portions in our Marinated Restaurant;
  • A la carte menu for guests only;
  • Differentiated room service according to health surveillance recommendations;
  • Organization of restaurant tables with a minimum of 1.5 m spacing.

Meet the Golden Rules - defined by the City of Rio de Janeiro:



I - hand hygiene, preferably with water and liquid soap, or with alcohol in gel seventy percent;

II - use of the face mask in all common areas, and only remove it during meals;

III - observance of the distance of two meters between people or maximum occupancy of one person per four square meters in closed public access environments, the use of an elevator should be avoided and limited to its occupation;

IV - maintenance of airy environments, with open windows and doors and air conditioning systems with up-to-date maintenance and control;

V - availability of masks, gloves, caps and other personal protective equipment for cleaning teams and other employees, according to the activity performed;

VI - awareness of the respiratory label;

VII - restriction of access to the premises of industrial, commercial and service provision establishments, customers and employees in a feverish state or with symptoms of contamination;

VIII - concurrent cleaning of all surfaces in industrial, commercial and service establishments, every three hours, and terminal cleaning after hours, paying attention to the need for immediate cleaning;

IX - dissemination, at strategic points, of educational materials and other means of information on preventive measures to Covid-19, such as the Golden Rules and the telephone number for the 1746 Call Center.
